Report CT Chest-COPD

Examination:  CT CHEST 
Techniques:   CT CHEST, Contiguous axial cuts were obtained through the chest with I.V. contrast and revealed:

                                                                   REPORT
  • Evidences of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are noted as increase AP diameter of the thoracic cadge with hyperinflation of both lungs & splaying of pulmonary vasculature.
  • Mild to moderate thickening of bronchial wall is noted at both lung bases with minimal dilatation of the terminal bronchioles suggesting associated interstitial pulmonary disease for clinical correlation.
  • No evidences of focal pulmonary mass lesions were detected.
  • Normal CT appearances of mediastinal structures with no evidences of mediastinal or pulmonary lymphadenopathy detected.
  • Normal CT appearances of the heart & great vessels were detected.

CONCLUSION:
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with evidences of basal interstitial pulmonary disease
